I've been on this site for over a year and haven't really posted much. I currently have a 12x16 storage shed at my house but I have somehow talked my wife into letting me build a bigger shop/shed. My main goal is to get my woodworking in a shop instead of my back porch, I also need a place to store my 53 ford f100 project. My thought is a 2x8 on top of 4x6 runners and 3/4 plywood should support the weight, please let me know your thoughts or ideas on weather this will work or not. I want my new shop to look like this guys https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=307468

Well after talking to a few contractors to get an estimate on a concrete slab poured instead of a wood floor, I do believe a slab is what is going to happen.

It's surprised me when my wife actually agreed on building the shop and then she said she would feel better if we had a concrete slab poured. I guess it's time to start saving for the slab and as I can start cleaning the other shed out so I can tear it down.
