Hey everyone, I have been looking for awhile for a pressure regulator for my c7550 its a two stage compressor with tank pressure of ~175psi. Normally for air tools i just try to shut the thing off with the switch when it gets to 90psi, but this is becoming annoying.

I have looked a HF , sears and cannot find anything that is rated for this much pressure. Anyone have recommendations? Also kinda off topic but any bargain auto real air hoses on the market?

Be aware that there is a difference between the input pressure behind the regulator and the regulator's output limits. How often are you going to regulate the air to 175PSI besides never? What you need to ensure is that the regulator input is high enough to withstand the 175 PSI in the tank. That spec is available just about everywhere. I bought one at Home Depot, rated for max input of 250PSI which is more than enough. The output is limited to 125 or 150 PSI though. But again, I never use that much pressure.

I wanted the same thing at one time. The best deals I've found were on ebay.

You won't regret a good diaphragm regulator. When I was looking for GOOD regs, I always came back to the Parker/WATTS (R119 -06C/M2). 06 is for 3/4", I believe 04 would be 1/2". Those are usually cheaper used...New , forget it. I acquired two when I was looking on ebay. One, I'm pretty sure was brand new or never used. They other was used. Both were $65 apiece. These regs are 300 psi or better, -bullet proof internals and easy to work.

As mentioned above Wilkerson has good regs as well. Usually found in the same category. Purchasing used is usually the best option, but once in awhile you can find those who just want to get rid of their stuff quick..Never know
