You guys think he/she is correct?? It's definitely not 35' ANYTHING, but I'm only seeing 24" max going by the tape measure. I'm guessing he is talking fully open it's 35". Do you think the weight is correct?

Here's a pic in case it gets pulled.

175 lbs would be about right for a C2. I think those are 5" jaws, 7" open. I know a C3 is 210 lbs, 6" jaws. I would not pay her price. I would bite for $250 tops.

my guess it's a nice Wilton C3 with 6 inch wide jaws and including the pipe jaw or it could be a C2 if they are not 6 inches wide. maybe a early 70's version. looks pretty clean for one in it's natural state. two main issues to look for on these big wiltons are a busted swivel base that could be re welded or any cracks or breaks where the dynamic jaw goes in and out. most guys aren't ready for the 100 pounds when the jaw gets out of the vise so a lot of times they are dropped.

i don't see any issues as far as those so a visual inspection will tell for sure and the price is on the high side, but i didn't need to tell you that. I've actually seen some sell for a bit more though. the C series are probably without a doubt Wilton's best commercial and home vises to own IMHO.

It's a C3 (not a C2) and 175 lbs sounds about right.

It looks like a "cream puff" and that's a good price. Better go get it!!

Honey child I sure would like to see that price of $250.00 dollars...Her asking price is pretty good since they start new around $1,160 and go up from there, and that is before shipping and taxes.

Wish I had gems like that on my Craigslist...

I've had gems like that on my local CL, but with the price to match. I'm probably crazy, but push come to shove, I could see myself buying a brand new C3, I have $10,000 in tool boxes, $4,000,in scan tools and who knows in ratchets. But when it comes to used vises, the most I will pay is $250 not matter what with the exception of a 345 lbs reed, then it is what my net worth allows.

I'll see your 175 pound Wilton and raise you 60 pounds... For a total of 235 pounds.

That's definitely one hell of a vise, but the price is equally large - $2,500.

The king of all bullet vise

C3 with reversed fastened jaws like the 600S

$600 is a good deal, definitely not a steal. It looks in very good condition, no abuse mark

I think the old price per pound for vises really doesn't apply anymore.

Unless you are in an area where there are an unusually large number of them available, it is a seller's market more or less for the larger vises. Not that you shouldn't try to haggle them down, as they are probably asking the highest price they saw one go for on eBay, but its been my observation that you're not going to buy any larger quality vise for the "per pound" rates some suggest here.
