1943 17x30 Leblond Regal available

My son had a major garage fire. 1943 Leblond Regal Lathe 17x30 was climate controlled in fair condition. The lathe was not involved in the fire, but is now starting to get orange fuzz in places from the 5,000 gallons of (free) water the Fire Department pumped inside to stop the blaze. He has decided it will be too much to have it towed to a storage unit, pay for that storage, garage demo and reconstruction, then have the lathe towed back the the garage for cleanup and restoration.

Is anyone interested in taking on this project lathe?
Central Michigan area, would need transportation for this ~4,000lb+ WW2 lathe

Start by oiling the **** out of it and cover it up.
Oil it and scrub with scotch brite lightly. More oil and more oil.

Wish I was closer, I’d love to snag that! I have a 13x19 LeBlond and it’s not enough between centers.
