Is this handle bent or was it made like this? I'm thinking it is bent, but the reason I ask is because it seems almost parallel with the jaws and it doesn't have any stretched out or deformed sections in the spine of the handle. Just curious as I obviously couldn't find any that look like it. Regardless I'm happy as a clam because it works perfectly fine and I got a 12" and 6" with it for $20 on eBay.

I'm going to say bent by using a big cheater pipe on it. Bad thing is that the way it's bent shows the guy had the wrench on backwards as well.
Does show you Crescent wrenches will take abuse without breaking.

Yea it was definitely used backwards. Could have been on a lather or pipe thread machine. I have a 15" Crescent Taiwan adjustable that feels like it's made of tinsel. It would never compare to the strength of the older USA stuff. It's unfortunate they had to go overseas for a lot of their production.
