quick question for you! will any 18 volt DEWALT tool work on any dewalt 18 volt charger / battery,,,,
Here's the deal I came across a 18 volt DEWALT charger and 2 batteries and I see on E BAY DEWALT drill motors with no batteries for dirt cheap, my question is will my batteries fit these tools??????? thanks for any reply

Just be careful what batteries you put on certain chargers.
There are 3 generations of batteries, nicad, ni-me, and li-ion. You can't charge the latter on the early chargers. Make sure you read the type written on the charger. The latter chargers do all 3 types plus all voltages.

yes and no
the charger that do the LI-ion and NI-cad will charge either of them. they are the yellow chargers
the black chargers are NI-cad only
the motored tools will run on either battery but some of the flashlights will only run on one or the other
