Hi Again

So I want to do this right ! With the Combo kit 2696-24

#1 I can't seem to find any kind of registration / warranty card is this normal ?

#2 All I can find is in each individual tool instruction booklet there is a small space for model date of purchase and store stamp. Do I need to fill this out now or only if I have a problem ?

#3 Where are you fellas finding the information on when the tool or kit was manufactured ?

Thanks !

Just moments ago a Milwaukee box appeared on my deck. Inside is a repaired 2407, apparently new switch and new motor. No registration, no paperwork, no certificates.

Even without my receipt I’m good ‘til the 26th week of ‘19. If it dies after that I’ll thank it for its service, scrap (recycle) it and buy the latest M12 equivalent :

You don’t need to do anything. Save your receipt for maximum warranty. THAT’S IT. It’s not the Ridgid LSA, so it’s not difficult.

The manufacture date is coded into the serial number.
eg an F10AD1426blahblah is the 26th week of ‘14

Had Ridgid Gen4X. Had issues with the drill and warrantied, driver OK. Switched to Milwaukee M18 Fuel, couldn’t be happier. Have since added the high torque impact wrench, the Lantern (discontinued), and the wet / dry vac (amazing compact shop vac), with plans to get the Fuel Hackzall in 12 or 18 plus the 3/8 cordless M12 ratchet. The drill has mostly relegated my Holeshooter to special occasions, the driver has obviated the need for a 3/8 impact wrench, and the high torque is as good as it gets in 1/2.
