This interesting multi tooltool (acquired last week in an auction lot) required a bit of research, but it appears to be an 1850s "privates" multi tool (the "sargents" tool had additional tools/functions) issued for field maintenance of Enfield muskets.
The three ends have a screwdriver, a ****** wrench to remove the gun's ignition ******, and a removable corkscrew-ey thing that could be screwed onto the ramrod and used to extract bullet or wadding from the musket barrel. There is also a long spike on the shaft of the tool, for cleaning out the powder hole, and another "oiling pin" which screws out of an oil reservoir in the main shaft.
No markings were found on the tool. Looks like the oiling pin has been shortened and a screwdriver tip formed on it, and the ****** wrench appears to be modified. It appears old but I'm not sure if mine is an original 1850s tool, (there are modern reproductions available)
