I'm interested in any experiences anyone has had with various 18V cordless vacuum platforms. I'm heavily invested in the Milwaukee M18 platform but not sold on them. The 2 Makita models below seem interesting at the price point.

Makita XLC02RB1W 18V Compact Lithium-Ion Cordless Vacuum Kit with 2.0 Amp Battery https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018S0VT4O/?tag=atomicindus08-20

Makita XLC02R1B 18V LXT Lithium-Ion COMPACT Cordless Vacuum Kit (2.0Ah) with T-03193 Cloth filter (3-pack) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074XQVRCZ/?tag=atomicindus08-20

I actually have a cordless handheld Shark we use in the house, its not bad, but I'm looking for something more robust with a removable battery and possibly more suction.

NOT INTERESTED IN DEWALT OR THEIR BATTERIES, PLEASE DO NOT SUGGEST (I'm sure someone will anyway/despite this statement)

I have the M18 rectangular shop vac and I am pleased with its performance. I primarily use it for quick cleaning a vehicle and small clean ups on job sites and the shop. I generally carry two 5 amp batteries with it. I have used the 9 amp battery as well.

I have the blue one, it's a newer model - I don't remember the differences offhand - something about a longer run time

It comes in handy for out in the garage, I don't really use the floor attachment very much but my 6 year old granddaughter does when she is helping clean the house :)

I have purchased four of the makita (White). Wife keeps one in the house, use it daily at least. I got one for church to clean up when I work on something. Got one for my daughter, she was so happy (she used mine a couple of times). One I had while working at my sons place and his wife liked it so much I left it there, so I need one more for the shop.

Ridgid makes one might be cheaper I just switched to ridgid from Makita the white lxt they don't even compare ridgid blows them away with way more power and speed.
I bought a 7 pc kit for $175 at a pawn shop was a holiday deal would be 900 to buy it new which all is new condition I'm very happy but I stopped right before at another pawn shop and bought a Hilti drill and impact for $150 well no returns so I'm stuck. Look into ridgid sorry to blab on.

I'm between the M18 "teapot" (0882) or "toolbox" (0880) and the Ridgid R86090K dust buster-type or WD0319 tool box-type.

Has anyone seem specs on these? I'm looking for a comparison of vacuum and CFM.

SOMEWHERE on this board when the 0882 came out SOMEONE did post these specs. The old 0880 still had a little more power. I’ve since lost the post.

Also the 0880 has been recently re-designed to store the hose under the lid. Pics in the Milwaukee Addiction Thread (good luck). I prefer the older style w the hose on the side for quick access vs having to latch and unlatch a lid every time I want at the hose. That’s just me.

The handheld Dyson at Walmart for $130 is the only small vacuum you'll be happy with the suction. I'm not a fan of the build quality, but it works pretty well.
