Hello everyone,

Recently bought my house and the only light in the garage is from the single garage door opener. Not even enough to grab tools from my workbench, let alone do any maintenance on my car or motorcycle.

I'm getting ready to order lights and would like some input from those more experienced than I on how to lay them out and how many would be enough.
I have 8 foot ceilings and have sketched out the floor plan as best as I can. The walls are horribly painted drywall that I plan to repaint with a semi gloss light color.

There is an attic access door above one bay and an automatic garage door motor above the other.

I've narrowed my lights down to the Hyperikon LED Shop lights. They are double tube 40W 5000K, 4000 lumens and measure 47.24" x 5.18".

You can find them on Amazon by searching for the name and model. I can't post links right now due to post count.

What would be the adequate number of 4' lights to light this area? And what would be the ideal layout for the lights?

Thanks!
