Another thing that I have had stored away and forgot about. Was my dads. Not sure if it's interesting at all but I think it's cool. Still works great. Teeth are a little dull.

I like the Trimont wrenches they're very well made.

Use the right file to sharpen up the dull teeth and that wrench is good to go for another 50 years at least!

Normally I go over these tool threads and think most of the guys on this site have some real issues.

This is the first one that made me think "where can I find one of those at....."

Thanks. I had two of them and I can't find the other one. I hope I wasn't dumb enough to throw it away just because it needed teeth sharpened. I am 33 years old now and when I was 20, my brother and I drove a well on land we had just bought and we drove a well the old fashioned way. Start with five foot pipe and thread a cap on it then slide over a heavy duty driver with a handle on both sides and then pound like hell. Then add five more feet and pound like a ***** some more. Our first attempt failed at 20 feet. Must have hit something or had not tightened the threads enough as you go. On our second attempt, we ended up hitting water at 35 feet but for a good percentage of it, it would take ten heavy hits just to gain and 1/8 inch of depth. That well driver isn't light either. We used those two 1918 wrenches for that job. That sand point well still works great today. Was a ***** of a job though but my brother and I rarely hire out things if we don't have too. Plus money is always tight. I wonder how many wells my dad drove by himself back in his day.
