1924 pexto 137 help

I recently purchased a Pexto 137 shear. The tag says No.137C and a dated 1924. I also found a stamped date of 2 15 1924. The question I have is that the clamp says Niagara m&t wks. Is this correct for the shear or did someone change out at some point? Thanks

That's a really nice old stomp shear quik1500 and it sure looks right to me. I think I've seen other sheet metal equipment similarly marked. Ed.

I don't believe the Niagara clamp would be original to that machine, most likely fitted to the Pexto from a similar machine.

Probably not I guess but it sure fits nice on there. Almost like Pexto and Niagra shared a foundry or at least some patterns.
