1927 snap on socket differences

Got 2 '27 snap on sockets, both 1/2" drive, 7/8" and 3/4" the 3/4 one is very worn. check out the difference. It looks more like the newer style modern sockets that grip the 'flats' rather than the corners. Seen this before ? were there different makers for Snap on? I thought it was interesting

Agreed. I have a few old ones from the thirties that have been used on impacts and look identical.

Yeah the one on the right is just beat. Not flank drive just worn out.
