I have done the standard google and eBay searches, but havent been able to find out much about this type of flashlight. Anyone here ever seen one?

Cadillac still sells "exclusive accessory" flashlights, although they look a little different these days. That's a nice piece of memorabilia.

Thats quite nice. If you ever need a bulb for it I probably have one. Also you might try asking on CandlePowerForums about it.

I'd bet someone restoring an old Caddy would pay a mint for that.OEM accessories like that are BIG business.

Someone there will definitely know more. But it looks like a pretty standard car flashlight.

Not to state the obvious but either a promo item or it came in the glovebox of a new car.
They were and still are options for Caddy buyers. Through the 50's many small items could be ordered at the dealerships. Those were things like; tissue dispensers,make up mirrors,record players,flashlights,and a host of other knick-knacks all engraved with the Cadillac crest and all at Cadillac prices. The way I know this, my 5th grade teacher had a 1950 Cadillac purchased new with those goodies. She kept it until 1963 When she bought another new one. They were both pristine and would make any young car nut drool.
