Good morning friends:
I just joined your group today. I am a retired Mental Health Professional but have been a "shade tree" mechanic since 1972. If I can figure out how it works, then I can fix it. I am presently replacing the capacitors in my 1957 JBL C40 Harkness Lowboy Speaker Cabinet Crossover and am just waiting on the new caps to arrive. In the interim, I recently picked up a Red Devil No. 30 Paint Shaker for $25. I bolted it to my concrete garage floor but do not have an owner's manual or shop manual for it. I am missing the oil stick so I contacted a Red Devil parts dealer for one. I am however looking for any documentation in PDF format for information on this piece. Owners manual/shop manual. I have the parts list but am unfamiliar with the internal workings of this thing. It takes any SAE 20W motor oil but I do not know how much. I measured the level with a long thin screwdriver and it shows roughly 1/2" of oil in it. I don't know if this is an appropriate level or if it's low. Anyway, this is my story for today. Hope to hear from anyone who might have any information on this unit.
Thanks much!
