I just bought a 1940 Blackhawk jack. The top knob is gone. Can I get another and are these jacks worth restoring?

Lots of Blackhawk S4 restore threads here on GJ. My S4 is still in the queue to start its restoration.

Some folks here (including me) would be very interested in the lens from that jack if you are inclined to part with it.

GJ is probably the best place to try and find a replacement top knob. However, I wouldn't get your hopes up...

Here's a link to a post with a couple pics of the lens. I'll get some dimension info posted.

Jim at http://www.finewoodboats.com/ has the lower pictured 1 available in glass and plastic. It has a flange like the top photo, it measures 1 1/8" diameter x aprox 1 1/2" tall. These are globes for jetson style stern lights.
The top photo is of a flanged glass sediment bowl used on a small aircooled engine. 1 3/8" od x 15" id x 1 5/8 tall. The ones jim has have a flange like the sediment bowl. good luck with ur project.
