Since it’s been proven I can’t yet recognize tools on sight, tell me who made this, and is the’44’ a date…it’s in pretty good shape, have barely cleaned it. I expect one of you to say you had so many of them you used them to support the steel when you poured your sidewalk…

I couldn‘t say for certain, but there are McKaig Hatch with a panel similar to that. No MH on yours though.

Looks like one of those Vlchek Chevy toolkit wrenches, the forged numbers vary so wildly on those that they can't be literal year indicators. I'm no expert though and don't know what the numbers do indicate.
