It hade a 1.5 hp 3 phase motor on it which I removed and installed a new 1 hp single phase 120 volt motor. it has the belt pully vertical cover. and the open Delta stand. the seller was asking $725 I got him down to $300. I did not mention in my first post it also had a riser block which sold me on the deal. Which expanded sawing max to 12.25 inches

DFAST: Welcome! Good to have another Delta collector here. VintageMachinery is a great place for someone wishing to restore an old piece of arn. Is your saw a wood and metal saw, or wood only? We would love to see your saw when you can. Are you in the NW Ohio area then?

My Delta bandsaw is in pieces right now as I am replacing every bearing in it. I will post pics when it is back together. Yes in NW west Ohio. Located in St Marys,Ohio . Borders Grand Lake St Mary's if you look on a map it was the largest man made lake (dug by hand and mules to feed the Miami Erie canal) until the 1950's it was then placed 2nd on the list. Also the first off shore oil derrick in the world in the 1890's . So much for the history lesson. I really enjoy this site. Although I am not a collector I appreciate a classic machine that with its age is still functioning pretty much as when it did in 1946. Parts are still available with bearings being the most common replacement parts. It is a much appreciated tool in my shop. I started with a 8 inch bench top Delta . What a joke of a saw. I gave it to a young man just starting out in wood working.

Got carried away with the history lesson LOL. Mine is strictly a wood band saw with a open stand. In my search for a manual I found in 1946 they made a lot of the saws as wood/metal saw with a transmission. I would think a collector that would be a great find.

DFAST: Your not far away, I'm in Eaton. Use to travel to your area for DPL work. How is the lake doing? Had so much trouble with farm fertilizer runoff I think it was closed for a while. Love the small town. You might enjoy this thread: "30-50's delta picture thread". Check it out. And if you on the OWWM site I post as "Rusted" there.

Yes I have been to Eaton a few times to the Pork Fest and craft show. We are almost neighbors LOL. Yes the lake is clearing up thanks to state programs for lakes with algae.

Thank you Sumboodle. I visit Vintage Machinery quite often. My saw a Delta 14 inch with a hollow cast iron arm. It is a wood saw only with a open stand. I am in the process of replacing all the bearings and New tires. The blue ones. Yes NW Ohio St.Marys if you look on a map look for the lake on the west side of the state. I will post pictures when I get it back together. This one set in a barn quite a while. Working on getting the rust off the table.

I have a 1946 Delta Milwaukee wood only bandsaw. Serial 45-6608. I'm wanting to purchase new tires from Sulfur Grove Tools but the lookup requires model number. Did we ever establish this model number? I saw 28-207 from DFAST. Is this it? Thanks.
