I saw this on ebay this morning in the San Jose, CA area.

50's vintage craftsman drill press with variable speed industrial DC motor and controller. It also appears to have a third pulley installed on the column for low speed operation for drilling metal. If it is in good shape it is a bad rig for $110 obo

Being able to turn a knob and vary the speed as required is pretty nice.

The third pulley is worth more alone than he's asking for the entire press. I've never seen one go for less than $100, mine cost me considerably more. If I was local, it would be sitting in my garage right now. :thumbup:
