Hello,
I picked this up at a second hand store near Nasa in Houston a couple years ago. Looking at what other stuff they had, it looked like an old school machineist had passed and someone just donated all of his stuff. This thing looks like it never left his closet. Gerstner confirmed it was their tool box. I know this is a gem and was wondering what this box might be worth?

That box is a "creampuff". I'd almost say it's one of the late Gerstners but the key and lock suggest it's vintage. Maybe find a similar new box at Gerstner.com and price it out. If you're looking to sell it, just list it on Ebay as an auction and the market will decide it's value. You'll do very well.

great find.
it's not super old(30s-40s) and not super new. im not lookin' up my notes but it's probably late 60s to mid 70s.
yes i know thats a huge gap but that about how comfortable i am rite now.
it IS Gerstner made and it looks like it's in great shape.

what's it worth???
i hate this part...
i would easily pay $100 for it..and maybe pay $150 to $200 for it.
i should say $200 or $250 might be your max unless you find some weirdo collector.
but than again on ebay there is sometimes bidding wars with just 2 weirdos and who knows where the price can go.
if you were closer i might want it
