I have the exact saw I use all winter long in the woodshop. My grandfather bought it new when he retired. I have the receipts for the saw, motor and an extra set of extensions, I think the saw was $169, have to find them to make sure.

The belt tightening system leaves something be be desired. I don't see a fence, I still use the original one, works fine.

Good job by the way. Know who made them ?

Edit: never mind on the fence, didn't see it at first. I bolted wood on both sides of mine.

very nice saw. and you got the extra set of wings what hp motor do you have?

One horse, the only motor it's ever had. The receipt for that say $35. My grandfather also ordered the fence addition for the extra wings. He kept the original for some reason so I was able to add the white countertop extensions and still have a fence track. The one on the right houses the router.

The switch is wired with the vacuum so they both turn on.

Now a lot of folks snicker at the horsepower, in this age of 3 or 5 horse table saws but I like it. I cut a lot of ash, walnut and oak. I resaw ash for drawer sides so I cut 2 inches deep or more one two sides, then finish with the band saw. In the 35 years I have used it I have wished for more horsepower maybe a dozen times. At least that many times I have stopped the blade by doing something that would have resulted in a kickback with a large motor. Most likely the belts slip, the tightening system isn't great, it relies on the weight of the motor.

A good sharp blade cuts 90% of what I need, and I can figure ways around the rest. I also use a molding head some and cut 3/4 dadoes a lot.

I never use the cut indicator in front of the blade. Occationally I have to realign the trunions to the miter slot. Put a piece of Masonite between the miter gauge head and bar, that results in a huge improvement of control, just like a crosscut sled.
