1964 Mac Tools Lower Box

Picked this up at a garage sale. Cleaned it up and added drawer liners. This sucker is very heavy! Plenty of patina, but no big dents or rust. Any ideas as to what it might sell for?

I would say $150 easy. If you would sell it. In my area old boxes like these go for that price all day.

Dang in my area they would go for crazy money, if I found one for $150.00 I could not open my wallet fast enough.

As much as it pains my cheapskate wallet, rigs like this are now in the 200+ dollar range around here.

Just like mine. I found the middle 2 drawer on eBay. Looking at a matching top box now. How’d you come to that date? Are they stamped somewhere?

Stamped 5 64 on the bottom right front, just below the bottom drawer, just to the right of the bottom lock. You have a nice set up there.

I envy you guys that live in areas with prices like that. Here it is not uncommon to see stuff like this listed for $400-$600

I should have asked $300, but it went to a friend for his airplane hanger. I'll get to fly around with him this fall, so worth it.

The good part---bought it at a garage sale for $40. It was very dirty. Did a bit of wet sanding and shot it with clear coat.

I sold one a few years ago and the seller made me an offer that was double what I almost said I'd take for it. I think I got $600 and those are nice boxes.

I want to say I paid 120 for the top box, 120 for my middle, and 150 for the bottom box, side cab, and older style Mac top box that I sold to a coworker
