1964 Snap on socket sets

Hi, Last fall bought a vintage Grey & Red Craftsman top and bottom. Excellent condition dated 1964 and stuffed with Craftsman and Snap-on tools, among others. South Florida Craig's List. I won't say how much i gave for it because I think the "You ****!" movement is vulgar and silly.

But I will tell you it was less than $201. And I showed the tool box in the "Vintage toolbox" thread.

Anyway I have 3 Snap-on socket sets that I have doubles of.

-11 piece 3/8 drive deep, 6 point. 1/4" to 7/8"
-11 piece 1/2 drive deep, seven 6 point and four 12 point. 1/2" to 1 1/8"
-9 piece 3/8 drive shallow swivel 6 point. 5/16" to 3/4"

All are in great condition. Not museum but pretty close. They date from 1961 to 1965.

I'd like to trade those sets for the equivalent in metric. Anybody interested?

I know this belongs in the classified forum but I don't have minimum number of posts.

Not trying anything underhanded. Just that waiting until I get another 95 posts may take me quite a while and I wanted to give this fine crew here the first shot at these nice Snap-on socket sets.

I think that if you keep making a conscious effort to dodge the rules, you won't last another 94 posts......you'll get banned. So, join in, add some good content, opinions, pictures, etc., and you'll be to 100 posts in no time. The classified ads do allow for trading, and that's where your post should go. Also the "You ****" thing is a tradition around here, so don't bad mouth it. Glad you're here but let's stick to the rules and go with the flow.

Jim C. and notlob, thanks for the heads up (and light scolding). This is one of my favorite sites and would not like to be banned. I've been reading here for several years.

Just thought these snap on sets might have been highly desirable and wanted to give this crew the opportunity for a trade, but I guess not.
