Picked this up at a sale for $12. Cover is stamped 1965. Stripped, primed, painted and added a new lock. Saved another from the dumpster. Don't really need it, but not sure of the value. Very heavy box.
North of 12 bucks.but not sure of the value.
date is on the upper right corner of the lid.I have seen them forsale for $60 with nice original paint and a few minor dents on top. Thought that was a good deal.
Could you please post where on the top lid you saw the date marked? These mid drawer Waterloo made chests do not have date marking in the usual places.
The lid is stamped 65212 in the upper right cornerPretty sure that box is 70's. The 3 and 4 drawer versions were much later being introduced than the 2 drawer. No date codes that I have heard of being found on them.
$60 is usually a great price for them. For people in the know, $100-200 depending on condition is usual for around here.
That looks to be the Craftsman part numberThe lid is stamped 65212 in the upper right corner
