Picked this up this morning off Facebook marketplace for $100 and it came full of solvent and the pump works as well. Curious if anyone else has one and can show pics of the internal plumbing? According to the ad i found online it should have a waterhose type sprayer on it in conjunction with the standard nozzle. It has the hanger for it but the sprayer is missing. Wanted to see how it is set up so i can add that back to it. e7983aa899acb2bb00ed82026b4fd77b.jpg

I have the same unit, but mine isn't set up with a wash down nozzle. It does have a brass selector valve to direct flow to either flex nozzle or through a parts scrubbing brush. Graymills company head is a member here, I think it's " Graymills Craig" or something similar

Here’s a few pics of mine, I’m not sure how Graymills originally did the plumbing but this is what I came up with after scouring google and Graymills website. You’ll see two ball valves, one goes to the agitator or recirculator bar in the bottom of the tank. The other goes to the flex nozzle, you’ll also see a plugged T and that is where the spray hose will plumb to. I haven’t found the need for the spray hose so I haven’t purchased one yet. Graymills as I’m sure you’ve seen is still in business and still making the model 300 washer unit.

You guys that have this same unit, what are you using for solvent in it? The stuff that was in it works well, but there is a good 2" of sludge in the bottom and it smells absolutley awful. I was going to clean it and get new solvent.

My Graymills has a corrugated plate in the bottom that separates most of the solids out, although I've never let it buildup to 2" of sludge before cleaning it. It has a mesh filter also but it's not very fine. I think the manual mentions an automotive oil filter that goes in the mesh filter can for fine filtering, but I haven't tried to find a part # or fitment crossover. As far as fluid, mine had just been serviced when I got it with a stoddard solvent fluid, but the stuff Tractor Supply sells has a good rep.

I use whatever Northern Tools has on the shelf. About once a year I’ll wrap the mesh screen with a rag( I use rag on a roll) and run the pump till the flow slows down. I’ll do this two or three times, it does clear the fluid up a little.
