New member here, first post, glad I can join the group as I see there is tons of info and help on this site!!! ...
So before I left my last employer I was able to acquire this Saylor Beall Compressor... for FREE !!! as they were doing a remodel and upgrading everything.
It was a good running unit and always maintained. A little dirty, but should clean up fine. I have a couple questions.
Im replacing the three phase motor with single phase, it currently has a 3hp motor.
Would there be any benefit in increasing it to a 5hp motor?
And what components would need replacing along with the motor?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Also, If you can give any additional Info on what i actually have that'd be great. I believe it to be a 705 pump. markings on the Cylinder head are 4044, on the Cylinder it is stamped 4045, and the pump base 4048R with WA stamped above and a number 3 at the very bottom. Ill try to find pictures of these stampings if needed.
