Hello All,
I have had this old bench grinder sitting around for a while. It was my grandfather's and I'm trying to restore it.
It's an early 70's model B&D, cat no 616.

I pulled it apart, cleaned it up and got it all back together correctly. It runs but needs a "jump start". This unit does not have a capacitor but rather a starter relay. My guess is that this relay needs to be replaced. Trouble is that I cannot find the replacement. So I'm hoping to find a suitable replacement.

The markings on the relay indicate it is a Klixon 6409-7-172 then there is T5A marked on it.
I have seen several 6409 relays, but nothing that seems to match what I have.

I have attached some pics for reference. Any help is appreciated.

Sorry can’t help but would be interested in seeing a pic of the Grinder itself.
Funny, I took these pics of the relay but never the whole grinder. I'll have to go snap a few now that it's done. Stay tuned!

Here's the grinder. Should've taken a before photo.
Anyone able to help on the start relay?
Any replacement will be fine - I don't know how to spec them to make sure I get the right thing.
