1975 Sears compressor - looking for manual and some answers

Hi! New here, but not to tools. Thanks for having me.
I just picked up a 1975 Sears compressor ($75), #106.153784, 2HP, 2 cyl, 26 gal(?). I had to make my old compressor outlet 220V, but the thing runs great and comes to pressure.
1) I've looked on eBay and Google, but can't find much for parts or, what I'd really like - a manual.
2) Am I missing something, or is there no on/off switch? Just plug it in and it runs? I read and understand about the little head-pressure relief lever. I'd just rather have an on/off switch than use the breaker as a switch.
3) It slowly leaks air out of the little hole on the end of the regulator (see in photo). Does this mean the regulator is shot? repair or replace? It does work, just bleeds off slowly.

originally that would have had a switch on the pressure switch, but who knows what's been tampered with .
small leaks are usually easily & inexpensively fixed. the main thing is having a good solid leak free tank

The Craftsman OEM list says the 106 was Whirlpool, Tate Mfg, or Campbell Hausfeld made. Let’s guess CH. you might try looking for a CH with similar specs.

Several references say that this is the CH compressor number. VT4923

Can’t find your manual yet, but several people here have asked about that compressor, maybe search see if anyone has a manual?

Your tank is around 47 years old. Old tanks get rusty and have a bad habit of exploding and sending out shrapnel in all directions. There are a few videos on YT of tanks exploding.

Thanks for the replies. Banged on the tank with a hammer where they normally rust and it seems very solid. Rusted, leaking tank on my 1985 Sanborn (bought new)) is the reason I picked this one up. I'll look closer for that on/off switch. Found new regulators for $6-60. I'll just replace it and then tinker with the old one. The Sears website only has a diagram. I'll keep looking for the manual.
