After reading and looking at you fellas rebuilding all these drill presses and seeing what a new one cost now , I got the courage to take the 1/2 hp motor apart and replace the bottom bearing .
She was sounding like a coffee grinder for awhile now and needed a " spin " start to get going . Got enough dirt and dobber nest to plant taters! Dont know how it even worked at all .
Cleaned her up good , put her back together , runs just dang fine now ! Its got a 5/8 chuck , light ,tilt deck I guess you call it . For a budget 1979 model , Its a
good little machine .

Thanks for the push to muster up the courage to tear into it ! Where can I get a chuck key for it ? Never had one . And a light bulb is turning out to be hard to find too .

Thanks Ken for the kind offer . I too have picked up half a dozen of them over the years and not a single one has fit this thing .
I did clean up the chuck yesterday and the only markings I can see are 16MM . First Time I ever cleaned it up enough to to see anything on it . Should I just look on say ebay for one that is a 16mm chuck key ? Thanks again.
