I found a 1988 MAC catalog at the swap meet yesterday for the reference library. By popular demand, I've photographed a few of the pages. If anyone wants anything in particular scanned, PM me.

The cover, celebrating 50 years of MAC. I had hoped that there would be a little write-up of company history, but that doesn't look to be the case.

In no particular order:

You can even use MAC tools to work on your P-40:

Fun to see no longer made styles of combo wrenches.
I bet the 80s speakers on the swing-out upper box doors sounded great. :D

I don't know what I'd do with it, but I always loved the MB1700. I had a chance when I was younger and the box would have been upgrade, my SO guy had one that was like new he would dump for a grand. Kinda kick myself.

So very cool, I'll have to be on the look out for some of these catalogs at my local meets. Thanks for sharing!

Did they make a longer version of the VR10PA ratchet? I had one, but some POS stole it about 10 years ago. That was my favorite ratchet for years. Bought it around 95 or 96.

Edit: It was an XR11PA, I believe. I would try and find another, but I'm afraid that I've been spoiled by higher tooth count ratchets and would be disappointed.

Just picked up at the swap meet a real small Mac tool box, looks like it was made for a 1/4" drive set. Measures about 4"X8" , top compartment with a socket divider and 1 drawer underneath, has a die cast chrome handle that says "Mac Tools". Can you see if it is in that catalog? Kind of thinking it might be older with that handle. Thanks for posting, Mac info is definitely hard to come by.

If you guys ever wonder why the later catalogs have an R at the end of the part numbers for wrenches and sockets, it's because the R denotes "Revised" to include the new Macdrive off corner engagement system.
