Funny what happens when you go through old videos. I forgot I bypassed a bad ignition switch on buddy's old ranger forhim. He wanted to sell it but didn't have the cash to replace the switch.

It was a fun project and that switch basically sold the truck to the kid that bought it.

Sweet!
Some people call it "redneck" but I love it when guys understand the concept well enough to think outside the box for a solution.

Nice. Love the Rangers from that era, always wanted to drop a small block in one.

Clever, I used the Cig lighter for a starter kill switch back in the day to prevent the car from being stolen. You had to push in the lighter for the key to energize the circuit.

A friend had an old Dart that had a kill switch in the ash tray area. When the key ignition failed he just put in a starter button the the dash. Ran for several years until he gave it to his son. Not sure what happened to the Dart. It had the passive theft detector look about it so he was not too concerned about someone taking it away. Had the usual donor car parts in various places.
