A little while ago, I picked up a Kennedy roller that still had some paperwork with it. There was some interest in digital copies in the garage sale thread. Unfortunately, after several tries to create small sized PDF scans, I had to give up. No matter what I did to reduce the files, I still kept coming in over the server limits to post them. What I ended up doing was taking photo's of the pages, instead of scans. The quality isn't as good, but the res is high enough that the fine print can still be read.

Thanks to member nine4gmc for agreeing to host the large files on his website.

The links are below, be warned that the files are large and may take time to download.

did you have the same issue and were you able to fill the gaps anywhere else or just happy to have the ones that were offered?

Thanks for taking the time to scan them, Jake!

I have the Rose catalogs as well, I will be uploading them once I get them all together. Somehow there are more links than I have downloaded files...:lol_hitti

The nice thing about this catalog is that Kennedy has used the same model numbers throughout their run. So even an earlier or later box can be identified by perusing this catalog.

I was even able to order new handles from kennedy for my box online using the 1992 part number. Who still stocks 22yo parts anymore ?!

Awesome, many thanks Jake.

One thing interesting about kennedy boxes. Not much ever really changes over the years. A little here and there, but overall style and color(s) stay the same. I guess they believe in the "If it ain't broke don't fix it" philosophy.

Thanks for sharing. I just wish I could find the Craftsman catalogs from my childhood...1990 through 2000 or so.

:+1: And something in the mid 80's and late 30's. Hand tools.

Many thanks for that link! I will post a few photos of my Kennedy box; which I got used in 1972. It looks a little different from the ones sold in 1992; however the 27" x 18" is the same.

I just took these snaps, boy the photos sure show how bad the paint is!;

Anyway I am looking for what the correct top might be, or if not exactly correct, which one would work best.

I will look through the '92 Catalog some more.

Again, many thanks for that! And, kudos to Kennedy for the idea that if it ain't broke don't fix (or change) it.

The problem with Kennedy is that they never figured out how to properly stack their boxes. It made for some funky sized boxes that weren't compatible with other brands. 22", 27", 29". 31" WTF ??????

With a 27" bottom you would use a 26" middle or top box. If you use a mid box then you would use a 20" or 22" top box. Each layer would get narrower as well. So the same set up in another brand would give you more storage space than what Kennedy offered.

Where other brands would make their stacks to just sit into the lips of the bottoms, Kennedy built their stacks to sit with the weight in the middle of the box instead of on the sides where the weight would transfer straight down to the wheels. This risked bowing the top of the boxes if the upper boxes were overloaded.

Still, they made (and still make) some great boxes.

That's a nice roller you have. I have a similar set-up made by Huot. I'm willing to bet that the slides on yours are sturdier.
