Long time lurker. First big project to share and get feedback on. Picked up the keys to my next big adventure that will take care of not only my living arrangement, but also home for my small construction company and my automotive hobby.

Property was built in 1949. 5500 sf altogether. Has roughly 1200 sf of living/office space and the rest is all shop. Here's a few photos to get this started and more will come as we get things rolling.

I like that shape, makes it different than other shops? Sure lots things to do, would be nice to restore rather than take it down and rebuild... IF possible!
Where's located?

Building and property are in North Carolina. I know that it was originally a John Deere dealership in 1949. Its been who knows how many businesses since then. Tenant before me had a machine shop/fabrication business.

So is this a rental/lease or a purchase? Hopefully the latter.

It is of course a WWII era Quonset Hut that was surplus.

Pressure wash the outside, let dry, then hit it with rust convertor. Finish with a high quality oil based industrial enamel. Personally I'd avoid aluminum roof coating/paint.

Exactly what I'd want if single.

I agree with Shayne. You have a gem, sir!

In my hometown, the building in the attached pic was a movie theater in my Dad's teen years, then Sattler Supply (a NAPA dealer and mechanic shop) in my teen years, and now it is a flower/gift shop.

Keep us posted!!
