Opinions vary about what is a good system...

The Radon Test proves what is a "good system".

Go to gov't web sites -- some high radon states have good sites also.

Can't say any more -- just don't want people to think this is proper.

Radon understanding is growing -- most states don't certify installers or testers.

I would also look into a belly wrap. I believe thats what it is called and it is installed along your joists. A thick plastic like tarp that is impervious to moisture.

Then you can vent the crawlspace better, or use a dehumidifier if still needed.

Yep. Then dehumidify on top of that is the best practice for us guys in the mid-west. encapsulation id the best, and it helps with radon.

W/O heat .... moist air falls. So even in a conditioned house there can be humidity at the lowest point -- this area will often have some moisture egress. So ...in some climates you need more conditioning .....

I have found that venting the HVAC system has solved the problem for me -- but that's because the systems dehumidify better today. It's not uncommon to need a dehumidifier with many some parts of the year.

This ventilation and fan fix only works on certain days with ideal conditions. This keeps coming in the shop/barn/garage humidity issues as well.

All above days are similar temperatures.........pick the day that best for the fan ventilation and then the worst day.......that would obviously make things worse. Those in between days.......what do you do ?????
