I've been a member for some time but have never posted. This past spring I had a 30x54 un-insulated Cleary pole barn put up and have been slowly making it useful - and fighting with it too. I have about 4-6" of crushed concrete for a floor and am running an extension cord to it for lighting - not the best by any means but it does allow me to store all my stuff. Concrete can't happen at least until next year, electric will probably come in the spring and some sort of heat eventually. The roof is steel and with the dropping temps, it now rains inside a bit. I'm sure once the temps stabilize the condensation will stop but how best to deal with it? My trusses are on 8' centers with purlins standing on edge perpendicular to the trusses, they are on 24" centers. How can I insulate between the purlins and deal with condensation issues? I am planning on drywalling the ceiling using the purlins so the trusses will be open. I had originally planned on hanging the sheets from the bottom of the trusses but I like the open space and having the open space for headroom while I'm working on my boat is pretty nice. I should have gone about 2' taller but hindsight is always 20/20.
I know this is a bunch of stuff to throw out there for a first time poster but from what I've read over the months, this is the place to ask.
