Hello all. I hope it is OK to post this in the general thread instead of the vise thread. I spent last week in Tennessee and as I am apt to do I spent more time at pawn shops and tractor dealers than I should have! At a pawn shop, I came across this small Parker vise for $25 that Google nor the search here can tell me much about. I am hoping some light can be shed on it, including approximate age and maybe even value (though it won't be sold).
It is only marked with "C. Parker Co", "Meriden, CT. USA", and "2000" on it. The swivel base is marked with a patent date of August 11, 1914 (I think, I forgot to take a picture of that).
I plan on restoring it and putting it to use as a small hand inside the house for watch and electrical repair, beside my Baby Bullet and Pow-R-Arm.
