2-220 volt outlets on one circuit

I have a shaper and a table saw that are both 220 volt. I was thinking of putting in 2 receptacles on the same circuit since they won't be used simultaneously. Since the 220 V receptacles don't have the feed thru capabilities would I just pigtail the wires in the first box and then feed the second box?

I'm not a sparky, but I think I've read before that over a certain voltage/amperage the circuit must be dedicated to single outlet or device.

The electricians are doing their stretching exercises before they respond and post.

Look for a duplex 220V 20 amp outlet, I have a couple in my old garage.

The multiple 240V outlets on a single circuit don't become a code issue until they are over 20A. That's why you won't find a 30A duplex outlet.

Put a sub-panel in your garage. Then, put two breakers - one for each outlet.

don't know code, but I did the same in my woodshop, table saw and jointer are on same circuit. when I went to the 220v jonter, I tapped off the table saw's outlet with conduit to the jointer. I can't physically be in two places at once, and I don't leave machines running so it works for me. the surface mounted conduit can be pulled out if I ever sell...

I do not think that meets code. However I did the same thing in a past house of mine. I don't use all the equipment at once so there was never a problem.
I pulled the receptacles and blank plated the boxes ( in the wall boxes that I added) before listing the house for sale
