I wish i had a HF, that would be great to have.
Can you post close up pictures of the socket you "beat on?"
In particular, the drive end & open end?
Thanks,
Mike

Too bad I don't have a HF closer to me. The shipping on the site kills the value.
After testing them I went back and cleaned them out.lol
I stopped by HF today to get ratchets in all three sizes being inpressed by the 1/2" ratchet test..Good Job.I'll have to go back tomorrow I guess for these. Do they have metric as well?
They've proved that they can copy existing items, steal technology , employ slave laborers and produce marginally acceptable products at a low price.
Certainly something to celebrate in my book.

They have them on clearance in the store for 4.97. You have to take a printout of the online price.Hmm, went to pick these up last night and they rang up $4.97/set. Same item number confirmed.
Gotta go back and show them the online price, but HF isn't exactly close, so it may be a few days.
Yep, Harbor Freight followed by Chik-fil-a for lunch....perfect Saturday, eh neighbor?
Stop showing off HF junk. I'm sick off all these threads about HF's cheap *** tools. What's next is someone going to show off some US General toolbox loaded with HF ****?

Your point is? The device you typed that reply on is produced under the same guidelines. Microsoft/I.B.M./Apple/Xerox (steal technology, copy existing items). Items produced in China etc.
This thread was about some really nice sockets at a really great price. Thanks to the OP!In fact, I picked up a set today. I have all the brands and regularly visit the Snappy truck, I buy value PERIOD. If China produced high quality copies of say Snap-on Master sets for a really cheap price, I'd go beat the slaves myself. Sorry to say. I'm a slave myself so to speak. Work my A** off under adverse conditions for da man. So what.
I'm not into the whole free the world everybody should be free blah blah blah. Their are superior nations and subordinate nations. Put on your big girl ******* and deal with it.![]()

If it were a matter of Danaher just making a shoddy product, Sears would have ditched them as an OEM long ago. The problem is that Danaher can't make a good product at the price point that Sears has set.
And Sears is continuously discounting one product or another in these gimmick sales events, selling every tool* (*excluding tools with handles, tools that are red, and tools that rhyme with "bench") at 50% off. There are few actual bargains to be found, but they're cementing their reputation as the tent-sale bargain brand - which sets the public's expectation that if you wait long enough, one Sunday evening you'll be able to get a 3/4" ratchet for nothing.
If they stressed the value of the product and set a fair "no-nonsense" price, people wouldn't wait until the next crazy sale or expect to pay HF prices. Craftsman has never been marketed as a "cheap" brand.
Don't even get me started on the "Blue Crew" and the Blue Light Special connotation that stems from that...
Been married four times. I can't afford to give away another house. It would cut into my ****** money

You guys that bought the sockets what did you think of them?
