I pretty much just lurk on this site, but since we are moving into a new-to-us house, I thought I would start a new thread. We moved from central Illinois to southwest Virginia almost 2 years ago and went from a 3-car garage to a rental with a 1-car garage. Now we have finally found a house to purchase, even though it only has an attached 2 car garage.

Let the fun begin!

Luckily, it came with a small storage shed, so all of the yard tools will finally be out of the garage. I'm also moving all bicycle and golf related equipment to the basement. The ceilings are 10' high, so hopefully a lift will be installed before winter... 3 cars can't fit in a 2 car garage without some help!

It also has this little nook space that I'll probably use for shelving:

I didn't want another boring white or gray garage, so we are in the process of painting it blue. It is a shade darker than gulf racing blue...

There is still plenty of work to do, but I'm looking forward to it being a "car only" garage.

Yes, a drive on to stack a classic mini over a camry. My back of the napkin math says it will be very tight, but should clear (as long as the stops on the lift work with my dimensions).

What's wrong with a boring gray garage?!

Curious to see what you end up doing with your setup. Good luck!

Progress is being made. The mini and wife’s crv both fit in the garage now. Still need to paint the window trim. The work benches keep moving around, but I think I like the one by the door. It makes the shop vac easier to access from the driveway.

A combination of new and old shelving is helping with storage in the nook.

I’m going to mount the license plates down low along that side wall.

Traffic light and BP sign are up... now I need to figure out how to splice them into the light circuit so I can have them on the switch with the overhead lights. Fortunately the space above the garage is unfinished, unfortunately there is plywood nailed down above where the light closest to them is.
