I've been lurking for a bit now, checking out all of y'all's awesome garage/shops. I just moved out of a house where there's only one 220 plug. Naturally, I'm not moving all my tools unless something was done about electricity and lighting.
Updated the new place with 200amp main panel, and hooked up the garage with 125amp sub panel, some T5HO lights, a few 220 plugs on each wall, and a 5hp rotary phase converter. Now with most of my tools moved in, I'm ready for a Garage Warming Party.
but you're not interested in that stuff, you wanna see the tools, right?
here we go:
welding table and Syncrowave 250DX
4'x4', 1/2" top
matco 5 series 3 bay
Lincoln 175T mig, plasma cutter, 4x6 band saw (for sale), and Ellis 1800
BP clone step-pulley milling machine with Xfeed and DRO. Clausing 5914.
tooling are in the tool boxes in the corner, only thing I dont have is more space.
better shot of the clausing lathe
BruildPro table and a Matco 7 series 2 bay (holding the buildPro's tooling)
Tennsmith notcher, IR compressor, JMR 2" belt sander
there's a 12" shear somewhere in there, not pictured is a JD2 tube bender.
RPC panel (Leeson 5hp idler motor not pictured, Thanx ZTfab
)
I like using stuff that was made by me. I'm interested in the manufacturing process. I tinker. I pretty much grew up in a glass factory that my family owned. Operated the mold since i was 4 (open and close mold by hand with a glob of molten glass dangled inches from my face, not the CNC-injection stuff of today where you push "start" and "stop" buttons in an air conditioned room).
I'm not in it to make money, but if you're gonna pay me to make you stuff, i won't say no. I make a wide range of stuff. From shoe rack, yard gates, camera accessories, to bed frame to *** toys (that's another topic all together).
anyway, that's my introduction, hope you enjoy the pics
