2 Car Garage in Columbus, Ohio

Hello all,

I'm finally starting to get my garage a little more organized so figured I would stop lurking. I bought a house about 18 months ago here in Columbus. Now that some of the house is finished up, time for the fun part.

Yup, just the cheap HF ones. I ripped them on my old table saw and cut the rest on my scroll saw. Ripping them on a TS was against my better judgement but worked awesome

That is cool. I have about 800 sq ft of my shop covered with the HF mats. I'm gonna have to try that in my tool box!!!

They mill surprisingly well. I used forstner bits to make the corners then it was basically connect the dots.

Secondly...Great job on the cabinets. Those all look fantastic. I assume you are a woodworker? If not, you should be as that looks like a first rate job.

As far as woodworking goes, it's just a hobby I enjoy. Much like many here, I'd rather spend thousands on tools to make something I see in the store for $100. I also enjoy metal working which isnt helping my garage space.

Thanks! They would probably get in the way above a workbench, etc, but they have worked out so far. I would like to do a Steevo bench on the back wall eventually.

They were $14 or $15 last year. I would still buy them at current price knowing what I know now.

Thanks! It's been a labor of love for me for over 20 years. I'm very blessed to have it. Spent the day out there today rearranging and cleaning. Updated my shop thread with some new pics.

I just love to hang out in the shop, listen to music and watch the day melt away.

I'll have to check those out right now. I just got in from the garage, I go out often at night and just stare haha. I'm just waiting for a new layout to come to me. It will get there one day. I feel like I am running out of time to get a barn, etc. but I guess I am 28 so I have some time....just need to figure out the financial part

I thought it was a 10 but the 6's look the same to me from that era when viewed from that angle. The R6 is a sweet bike too.

Any thoughts on ceiling? I've thought about repairing it then running stained 1x3 strips in a grid pattern (Will also be painting garage soon). Could be a cool accent...could look stupid and sketchy to next owners.

No kidding? Didn't know the Alum field did events like that. I've driven past it a bunch but never stopped. The left is a Kyosho 30 that's never been flown. I've had it probably 14 years. The right is a cheap Velocity or something along those lines. I have a few cheap quadcopters as well. Fun stuff.

I'll give you a great deal on the .30 next time you're around. Are they even worth anything these days?

Sorry to say, the older .30 nitro choppers are not worth much today- you can buy new for pretty darn cheap. Keep it and fly it!

I'll have to check that out next time. I'm so out of the hobby I thought nitro was still cool. I didn't realize brushless motors dominated until I stopped into a local hobby shop a few months back.

You delivering used parts and drive a pickup that says Columbus parts or something to that effect? If so, you have passed by my house before I believe. Trenors is 1 1/2 miles from me by the way the crow flies, and maybe 3 from me by road. I can almost see Trenors from my house

I haven't updated this in a while. I've moved everything around after a few tool additions, added some storage, flooring, etc. It's still a work in progress and probably always will be.
