Good luck on your home sale... we're putting up our townhouse on the market later this week as we just bought a home with my dream garage... Two car that is extra deep and 16' ceilings. I'll be chronicling my garage makeover, but it will take a long time since money is tight.

Congrats and good luck. I just went thru a sale and purchase. Fun excuse for a new project for sure. Good luck on the job hunt as well.

Dubber - guess I should have clarified - I found a job with a better salary within 6 weeks - so can't complain about that.

Got some of my jobs around the house done - ***** fixing the house, I'd rather work on the cars, lol!

Love the gladiator stuff. I am so happy I went with it also.

The lift is very interesting. I like the fact it can me moved and stored outta the way when not needed. I am curious as to what the floor looks like when its not there. Is there just holes there?

Holes that I have leaked trans fluid in, dirt, radiator fluid, etc.

I just bust out the shop vac and use that to get the **** out of them from time to time.

I've seen people use wine bottle rubber corks, some thread in bolts, etc. I just leave them open.

Nothing wrong with the V6 - haven't driven one though.

We officially started looking for houses - there isn't a lot of inventory with 3 or 4 car garages out there - so we are also looking into building.

My house isn't on the market just yet - but will be soon. It will be nice just to figure out what we are going to do, ugh!

Quick update - since I will be moving soon - I wanted to get my last Gladiator cabinet on some casters.

I bought set of the Gladiator brand ones - and my cabinet was designed with the mounting system that the Gladiator ones use - so I took one of the legs to Lowes and they had a set of castors that happen to fit the stem where the leg fits.

Looking online - people mentioned the bolt size for the stem was 1/2" - 13 - this is not true on Gladiator unit # GALG36KDYG - its 3/8" - 16.

The Lowes casters screwed right into the bottom of the cabinent - boom now its moveable!

I noticed your name and thought it was very familiar. As I was reading through your "build" it got more and more familiar. Then you posted a picture of your SS, and then I finally figured it out. You're a member on corvetteforum.

Very interesting build you have going on, and congrats on the new place. Should be fun to start out with a brand new slate to make your own.

I also enjoy the GM theme.

Black Z28 - I am on many different boards. I frequent ls1tech, corvetteforum, bangshift, pro-touring.com, lateral-g.net, duramaxforum, and this one.

There are other boards that I used to be on when I owned other older cars.

Also - thread update - I closed on this house today and turned over the keys!

Same here, but just on ls1tech and corvetteforum. Ahh, lateral g. I remember when Scott started that board years back. I haven't kept up with his car for years though....ever since the MN Fbody club kinda went away. Cool to see his forum is alive and well.

Look forward to seeing your progress on the new place. One of these days I'll put together one for my setup.

Black Z - are you local to the Charlotte area?

Not sure if we have met at either Cars and Coffee or perhaps on the Hot Rod Power Tour?

I know the feeling - but I cut my own funding off because I sold this house/garage - and am in the process of setting up my triple bay. Look at my sig for that thread. I haven't set the Max Jax up in the new shop as I need to order new anchors - this time I am going with the Epoxy anchor setup.
