On my new concrete would 2 coats of a good urethane with chips and aluminum oxide on the first coat be durable.I would follow with a second coat
Code:
. I just don't think I want to go the epoxy route. Also I assume etching would help with adhesion.thanks

Just about no urethane will adhere to concrete. Use a good epoxy with a urethane topcoat. We recommend diamond grinding. At the very least, you MUST acid etch. There are a lot of threads regarding concrete prep here.

You can do this with a poly-aspartic urethane.

I was actually looking at your top coats. Would this be pretty durable as far as chipping? How tough would it be to touch up or repair?

More abrasion resistant than epoxy. Same touch-up procedures as any other coating, square it up and re-coat.

We have smaller touch-up kits if you need it.

Is this available for DIY?

We have purpose built coatings and we are coming out with DIY garage kits.
The rule of thumb with poly-aspartic coating is don't take on more than you can roll-out in 15-20 minutes. I recommend a newbie roll out his job in colder weather to extend the working time, like now.

Assuming the polyaspartic you buy is solvent free, you can add up to 15% by volume of xylene ("xylol" at lowes/home depot) which will increase your working time.

A polyaspartic is not so much temperature sensitive, but it is very humidity sensitive. If you have high humidity, the stuff dries in 15 minutes!
