2" cut off wheel

So I bought an M12 90° angle grinder and the appropriate arbor for mounting a cut of wheel. Research says a 3" wheel will over load the grinder and cause it to shut down. so use the Milwaukee 2" cut off wheels. Kind of pricey ($30 for a pack of 10).

Any one found any alternatives ?

What battery are you using? The small batteries are useless. Get the 5.5 A-hr XC battery and the 3" will work just fine.

I use a 3” cutoff wheel in my m12 die grinder just fine. You just have to manage your cut pressure and how much you push it.

I use 3" but get them on amazon. Whatever is best price with good reviews.

I typically throw the 3” wheels away when they get to 2”. The surface speed of the cutting edge drops as they wear and cutting speed slows Don. Also reach reduces as the cutting surface gets near the body.

I have seen those M12 tools on Marketplace. Now I know why people are ditching them (maybe).

I don't give a damn what research says I care about what works in the real world. Ditch the cheap assed 1.5 and 2.0 A-hr compact batteries Milwaukee sells these with and go with the XC batteries and 3" rolocs and cutting wheels will work on the right angle die grinder without problems. I've used the right angle die grinder for years this way and it works. In my case I use the 6.0 M12 battery as I've got a drawer full of them but the best battery for this tool currently available is the 5.5 A-hr. You always come on this forum to ask for advice and you never take it so why do you waste your time and ours?

Because he's bored.

Can't tell you how many threads he's started about being cheap and just wants to start an argument.
