2 differnt colours

i have a bottom chest black and gold

i have also seen a top box a want but its a different colour red

does it really matter that the top and bottom are different colours

It's personal preference really... All these items do is HOLD tools and no matter the color they will do that job just fine.

Now my personal opinion is I prefer to have everything matching so I would stick with the same maker and model for both top and bottom but that's just me

it doesnt to me,

i have a mixed 26" wide set, vintage grey/red craftsman top, red lyons mid box, and a red/white/blue SO roller.
work boxes are both red, (bought as a set)
1 set of garage boxes are cranberry snapon, 2nd set are red snapon..
all my side boxes are red.

If you think it'll bother you, look for the one that matches. It's usually less work / time / $ to do that than paint it later.
