Hey guys!

This is my first post, hopefully of many!

I will save an intro of me, my background, and my garage for another thread, but for now I have a few urgent questions.

I have an aluminum craftsman jack that lasted about 1 1/2 years before starting to sink. NO external leaks. I took it apart to look for the problem and suspected the part where the ball bearing seats was worn down. When I didn't think I could fix it, I started putting it back together only to drop the ballbearing into the depths of the abyss AKA under the work bench at my old garage. So needless to say this jack doesn't work. I can't find a repair kit anywhere for it. Can I source parts for it, or is it possible to buy another jack to mount into this frame? I liked the frame and it cleared under my car nicely.

Next, my work has an old Sears jack that was/is leaking externally from the pump lever seal. Can I get an oring kit for this jack? I didn't see one, but maybe I'm not looking in the right place for either of these jacks.

Both of these jacks seem like they could be good if I can rebuild them. I'd hate to have spend another $200+ for a decent jack...

Any ideas are appreciated!

Thank you.

Please post the model numbers.

Sorry I forgot I didn't post the straight up view of the jacks with the model numbers.

Newer red jack: 50239

Older grey jack: 875.501152

FYI I did peruse the sticky thread, but that doesn't exactly help with the specific questions I had.

I appreciate the help!

On the 50239 a seal kit is available. But, no hard parts.
Link to kit,

The other jack. You will have to measure the seals you need. I was not able to locate a kit for it.

Thank you. I will take apart the red one and take pictures of the "problem" area. Maybe I can McGyver a solution.

When I get time I will take apart the grey one and measure the seals/orings.

If the silver jack is leaking from the pump lever seal (top side, that is) that's just an oring and maybe a back up oring. That would be covered in the overseas jack tutorial. You've got to get the old one out with a pick, size it up to a new one (try a HF oring kit) and see how you do.

On the red jack, if you're just missing ball bearings, you can try to play around with sizes to find what works, but you'd want a good drawing breaking down what is supposed to go in each hole, i.e., is it just a ball bearing or a ball bearing and a weight or a ball bearing and a spring or is it two or three ball bearings, etc.
