2 Inch Flexible Conduit

Spent some time searching and haven't seen a good fit.

My dad is running 100 amp service underground to one of the barns. He has 2 inch conduit already buried and everything is set except where he needs to connect through the sill of the building.

Is there a 2 inch flexible conduit available that can make an S shaped bend. The way he is describing it is the conduit enters through the foundation and there is a weird framing member in the way of running it straight.

I haven't been up to see it yet, but I am having a hard time finding NM flexible conduit that size.

Any ideas?

. Sealtight(liquidtite) would work, they make it in a metalic version and an all plastic version. I will say if its a short run you aren't going to get alot of S out of it. In other works its flexible but you can't tie a short piece in a knot. 2" may be hard to find but most electrical supply house should be able to get it

My last place the underground feed ended a rigid 90 degree arc piece into a feed through box then straight through the wall to another feed through and straight down into the panel. It allows you to pivot through 360 degrees on both sides of the wall. Unless the house vibrates you don't need flexible.....

A heat gun,some scrap furnace ducting,and a good pair of gloves are your friend.Carefully heat up a chunk of PVC conduit and bend it into the shape you need.As long as you keep a close eye on it,a gas or propane barbeque will do the trick,but I wouldn't recomend it for a beginner.

two inch is pretty easy to bend with the heat gun. I've done 2.5 inch without too much trouble. just heat it up all around with the gun and do wear heavy leather gloves. It's not a bad job at all.

I have bent up to 3" using a torpedo heater. Just don't overheat, and don't let the bend collapse. Good luck.

I've heated and bent up to 2 1\2 in grey pvc conduit...my trick is fill it with sand to keep it from collapsing .
Slow even heat , and if your in a hurry..cool with water.

Thanks all. I think we will be trying it this week. He seems to have some grudge against liquidtite, but we will try to heat up some of the extra conduit.

Always good to play with fire anyway.

i cannot imagine the pre radiused pieces cost that much.....
