Managed to acquire 2 more brand new armory lockers yesterday for free.

I consider this my second best deal of 2014, as the pair retails for $2000. I managed to acquire a bunch of extra shelves for each, as well as for the 2 others I already had (my best deal of 2013.)

Today, I decided to use them to replace the old and tired wood bookshelf that I was using for paints, stains, and misc hardware. I also wanted to keep the 42" TV on top, along with adding 5.1 speakers up higher.

This is what I had before:

The 26" Craftsman stack is an old '90s US made model my dad gave me when I left home. I use it for duplicate and less-often used tools, it serves more of a sentimental value item than work-use purpose, as I want the kids to have it one day.

Nothing too extensive or complex, but it really cleaned up appearances and doubled storage space so I'm pretty happy with how it came out.

I may decide to affix tinted lexan/plexiglass over the sides and doors, but haven't made a decision yet.

Cool score on the lockers.

I almost scored a pair out of football locker room but the fire dept had first dibs. They repainted red.

Nice looking lockers but is there enough room to open the top of the box ?

Not at all, haha.
If I made the toolbox lid able to open, the TV wouldn't have clearance with the ceiling.

Disabled the lid/drawer lock, and only have pamphlets/drill gauge cards, etc up top.

Very cool set up! Hows the viewing angle like? If it were my choice I'd wall mount that TV right where she is, so as to allow some tilt and swivel action. Those armory lockers are way cool, did you pick those up locally?

Swapped the casters on the Craftsman box? I have the same exact setup. Nice score on the cabinets!
