Is there any benefit to drilling the holes clear through the slab? If a bolt ever broke it could be driven clear through and replaced. Just curious and about to start drilling some holes.

Thanks for the quick replies. The only crisp 3/4 " bit I currently have might go over 7" and thats what I should have in the lift area.

That is the preferred method from everything I have ever read. I, however, did not drill through my concrete because I used 7" and 8" Wedg-its (?) with a 10" bit and a floor thickness of aprox. 16". I won't be moving it anyway.
