How many of you guys have them?

With my new build and the layout of the future garage, it is going to be tight to fit a full 12' tall lift and not change my structure. It is within a couple inches on what I have sketched out.

Of course it's not the end of the world....first world problems. Just wondering what you guys have had for experiences in this direction?

BTW- this is a barn I dismantled last summer, 33x40 overall and plan to start putting it up later this summer.

FWIW I bought a symmetric lift, and as a result the baseplate is never in my way. However, I push everything. I am just working for fun here, so I would never post a rant thread about how I can't have fun. That wouldn't make sense.

I suspect that with an asymmetric floor plate lift it would be closer to the 'action" but still not under the engine or front suspension. There's a volvo S70 over my head right now, as I type, and the floor plate is right below the door handle. It's behind the catalytic converter, which is very long on this car. It would be behind the transmission on a long rear drive car.

I bought my lift off "autolifters" about 20 years ago, right before they went out of business, and the owner talked me out of the asymmtric. I presume he had symmetric arms already made up. Been a great lift, too bad about the company.

Thanks for the input!

At one time I had a Mohawk A7, it sat in my garage for two years in anticipation of a garage build.
Eventually I had to sell it to help expand the business we had at the time.

I got it for $1200 delivered, sold for $2400 but I don't think I will come across another steal like that.
